Midrange discs are a great choice if you're just starting out disku golfu — they are more stable, more controllable and friendlier to throwing technique, compared to fast distance discs.

📌 Our midrange recommendations

• Discraft Buzzz  – a classic in the midrange category: straight flight, easy to control — great for beginners.
• Discraft Buzzz SS  – A slightly more understable version of the Buzzz, even friendlier to new players, and it also flies more pleasantly downwind.
• Discraft Malita – slightly more pronounced glide, but very straight and precise. Available in both Z and ESP plastic
• Axiom Hex – a good midrange, useful both for technical throws and straight 50-100 m shots.
• Discmania Founder - 5 | 6 | -4 | 1, a disc that is very understable and ideal for beginners or kids.
• Innova Fox - a very glidey midrange disc - a great disc for learning to throw from a standstill position or spots where a full run-up isn't possible

Midrange discs with speed around 5 and turn near zero (-1 to 0) lets you keep control on short and medium throws and get to know the game.
